Come and Sleep in the Trees in Alaska!
We offer a treehouse cabin for adults and families. It is a free standing treehouse that is up on pilings. It is not attached to the trees but is built up into the trees with beautiful views of the mountains.
It is located on Lazy Mountain, just outside the small town of Palmer, Alaska which is just 45 minutes north of Anchorage in the Matanuska Valley.
We are open year round and would love to have you visit us for a romantic weekend, birthday celebration, honeymoon or just an escape from the real world for awhile!
Seasonal Caution - Although we are open year round and love to have guests in all seasons, there are two times of year when the weather is changing and the rain that comes with the weather changes often creates water and mud in the yard. We have built walkways that will take you up to the Treehouse without having to walk through the mud but just be aware that during "Breakup" from late March to early May, the trees do not have their leaves, there will be debris from the Winter wind storms and the flowers will not be planted/blooming. You will be able to see our neighbors yards and they will be in the same shape as ours after a long, windy, wild winter! The other shoulder season is Fall and although the gorgeous colors of the falling leaves and the new snow on the mountains are so beautiful, the rain that comes in the Fall before the snow falls also creates mud and water and sometimes slippery surfaces. Our Fall is from late August to mid-October.
Treehouses aren't just for kids!!!
Our Treehouses are designed to bring out the kid in all of us. We welcome adults and children but regrettably do not accept pets in the treehouse. If you are traveling with a pet, they are welcome on our property but not up in the treehouse.
Your Treehouse experience will start when you walk up the ramp to the first platform and walk across the swinging bridge to your cabin in the trees! The bridge can be tricky for people with mobility issues so please keep that in mind when considering staying with us.
The Treehouse has a refrigerator, microwave, toaster and coffee pot. It has 2 bathrooms (one with a shower) and comes with a complimentary snack basket. We offer 24 hour check in so will send you an email prior to your visit with directions and your door code. Our check in time begins at 5 pm and our check out time is Noon. Early check in and late check out may be available upon request.
There is a central fire pit that can be used nightly. Complimentary Supplies for making S'mores are available at the fire pit nightly and we have complimentary hot chocolate and coffee in the cabin. A grill is available near the treehouse if you feel like having a cookout.
Our Gift Shop is opening in Summer, 2025 and will carry products made by Alaskan Artists. We hope you will take time to visit our shop and see all that we have to offer. We are happy to ship your purchases home for you in one of our custom made gift crates. Snacks are also available for purchase in the gift shop. In the gift shop building there will be a laundry room and rest room that will be accessible day and night.
Not far from us are several fun tourist sites. The Reindeer Farm is a fun place to go to see, pet, feed and photograph reindeer and a few other animals. The Musk Ox Farm is also nearby with a wonderful tour available that gives you the history of the Musk Ox and how they got to Alaska. There are several great hiking trails for all skill levels. And, Palmer has so many cute shops, a museum and seasonal festivals going on year round.
